Appointments and Process

04
01 How do I book an appointment?

You can fill in the appointment form on this site or call us directly. If you send the form, we will call you back shortly to confirm the details.

02 What happens in the first session?

The first session is largely given over to assessment. We listen in detail to your complaint, your history, your occupation, your movement habits and your goals, then carry out a thorough clinical assessment. The findings are shared with you and the treatment plan is discussed together.

03 What should I bring to the first session?

If you have any imaging reports (MRI, X-ray, CT), medical reports or a list of the medication you take, bringing them makes the assessment easier. We recommend wearing clothing you can move comfortably in.

04 I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment.

If you need to change your appointment, simply call us as early as you can. That way we can offer the slot to someone else who needs it.

About Treatment

08
05 How long does a session last?

Session length depends on the programme and on the assessment findings. The exact duration is shared with you together with your treatment plan, after the first assessment.

06 How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions varies from person to person, depending on the type and duration of the complaint, functional status and your goals. Giving a standard figure in advance would not be honest. After the assessment, the expected course is set out clearly and progress is reviewed at regular intervals.

07 Can I come without a doctor’s referral?

You can come for an assessment. If the assessment identifies something that requires a medical opinion, we will refer you to the appropriate specialist.

08 Are sessions one-to-one?

Assessment and treatment sessions are carried out one-to-one with a physiotherapist. Exercise programmes are planned individually as well.

09 What is the difference between clinical Pilates and studio Pilates?

Clinical Pilates is planned around your complaint and functional status, following an assessment by a physiotherapist. What sets it apart from general group-class programmes is that the exercises are selected individually and the whole process is supervised by a physiotherapist.

10 Can scoliosis exercises be done at any age?

Scoliosis-specific exercise approaches can be used across different age groups, but the content of the programme changes with the type and degree of the curve, the stage of growth and the person’s goals. A detailed assessment therefore always comes first.

11 Is it safe to exercise during pregnancy?

In pregnancies with no contraindications, appropriately planned exercise is generally recommended. The programme is planned taking into account how far along you are and any complaints you have. The view of the doctor overseeing your care is part of the process.

12 Are osteopathy and manual therapy the same thing?

Both are delivered by hand, but osteopathy treats the body as a whole: alongside the musculoskeletal system it also assesses the relationship between the nervous system, circulation and the internal organs. The aim is not simply to reduce pain, but to locate its source and support the body’s own healing mechanisms.
