Measuring the quality of movement
Functional Movement Analysis and Performance Assessment
Movement quality is analysed in detail, risk factors are identified, and an individual treatment and exercise programme is planned on the basis of the findings.
Even without any current complaint, faults in movement quality can lead over time to overload and a higher risk of injury. Functional movement analysis aims to identify those risks before symptoms appear.
What does the analysis cover?
- Assessment of fundamental movement patterns (squatting, stepping, pushing, pulling, rotating)
- Joint range of motion and muscle strength measurements
- Balance and single-leg control testing
- Identification of left–right asymmetries
- Foot pressure and gait analysis where required
What are the results used for?
The findings are reviewed with you and explained in plain language. On that basis, an individual treatment and exercise programme is planned around the areas identified.
Repeating the measurements at set intervals lets progress be tracked in concrete terms.
Who is it for?
Anyone who trains regularly, athletes wanting a pre-season assessment, people with a history of recurring injury, and anyone who wants to start exercising safely can benefit from this assessment.
